Naomi Weir will be discussing the sector response to the UK Government's Industrial Strategy, and how we can make the most of it.

As Deputy Director, Naomi leads all of of CaSE’s policy work including on R&D investment, Brexit, immigration, education & skills and science advice in policymaking. Naomi joined CaSE as Assistant Director in November 2013 and led CaSE as Acting Director during 2015, throughout the Election and Spending Review period. Naomi has a background in science, studying Biological Sciences at the University of Edinburgh and specialising in Pharmacology. After university, Naomi worked in financial services before joining the policy team at University Alliance in 2010.

A free buffet lunch will be served from 12:30–13:00, followed by the talk and questions from 13:00–14:00.
