Session overview

Join us for the first Microbiologist Women’s Network session led by the Microbiology Society members. This session is dedicated to addressing the challenges and opportunities faced by women microbiologists in academia throughout their career stages. We invite members to join our session to reflect on their experiences and share ideas on the leaky pipeline phenomenon in its broadest scope. This is an opportunity to learn from each other’s vast experiences and successes. We envisage this to be the start of a supportive and informative network and platform for women microbiologists. The session will start with an introduction from Enas Newire, followed by group discussions and an opportunity to share thoughts anonymously online, before potentially signing up to join a new network of women microbiologists.
