Abstract

Using just 20 chemical building blocks, nature’s protein-making machinery creates remarkable diversity, including therapeutics like antibodies and peptide-based drugs - yet it explores only a small fraction of the possible chemical space. By rewriting the genetic information of cells and rewiring how this information is interpreted, we enable the creation of transformative, next-generation biotherapeutics with unprecedented properties and functions. Constructive Bio expands biology’s chemical repertoire, turning cells into programmable biofactories for the discovery and manufacturing of exotic biomolecules that were previously impossible.
