As part of the A Sustainable Future project, the Society’s Policy team is collating case studies to illustrate the importance of microbiology in helping to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals were adopted by the United Nations in 2015, and aim to produce a fairer, more prosperous and more sustainable world by 2030.

We are seeking case studies in three key areas: antimicrobial resistance, soil health and the circular economy. If you work or have worked on a project which you think may fit into any of these areas, we would really like to hear from you. We are especially interested in case studies from members who have developed interdisciplinary collaborations, worked with industry, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), or policy makers, or those that have made a novel discovery which impacts the SDGs.

If you have a great story to tell, please contact the Policy team at [email protected]

Please find more information, including a suggested structure for the case study, on our website.
