Microbiology Society at FIS conference 2018

Microbiology Society will be exhibiting at the Federation of Infection Societies (FIS) conference between 13-15 November 2018 in Newcastle.

The conference is expecting over 600 delegates from all disciplines of laboratory, preventative and clinical medicine working in infectious diseases, microbiology, infection prevention and travel medicine.

The Microbiology Society will be supporting a session at the event, ‘Lethal clostridial infection: from diarrhoea to septic shock’ at 9:30 on 14 November 2018. Professor Sheila Patrick, Honorary Professor, Emeritus Professor, Infection and Immunity from Queen’s University Belfast is the Microbiology Society’s FIS representative.

Visit the Society stand for information about Society journals publishing articles on topics covered at the conference, such as anti-microbial resistance, HIV, viral hepatitis, tuberculosis and outbreaks in serious emerging infections. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about the Journal of General Virology’s collection on Arboviruses and their Vectors.
