We are pleased to announce that abstract submissions are now open for Genomes of Microbiomes. The Focused Meeting will take place 15–16 September 2022 at Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre.

Genomes of Microbiomes will provide a forum for the discussion of the impact of MAGs, including how they should be incorporated into public databases, metagenomics advances in general, and the contributions technologies are making toward more readily achieving complete microbial genome sequence assemblies.

The audience for this meeting will be researchers who want to keep informed on how advances in sequencing technologies and computational methods can be best exploited to understand the microbial world. It will be an opportunity for those working in the field to network and to build upon or establish collaborations.

Organising committee:

  • Lori Snyder (Kingston University London, UK)
  • Evelien Adriaenssens (Quadram Institute, UK)
  • Nicholas Thomson (Wellcome Sanger Institute, UK)
  • Nicholas Loman (University of Birmingham, UK)

Key topics:

  • Microbial ecology
  • Microbial communities in health and disease
  • Evolution and microbial diversity
  • Metagenomics
  • Metagenome assembled genomes

Further details regarding the programme will be updated in due course via the event page.

Submit your abstract for this Focused Meeting and present your research. The deadline to submit your abstract is 2 June 2022.
