The Microbiology Society collated members' comments in response to the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee Brexit Science and Innovation Summit inquiry. This inquiry was set up to identify actions needed to mitigate risks and exploit opportunities for UK science, research and innovation after Brexit.

Following our written evidence submission, Council member Professor Paul Kellam represented the Society at the Committee’s follow-up Summit on 22 February. The full transcript from the event is published on the Committee’s website. Professor Kellam followed up his comments made at the Summit about Brexit and biosecurity with a letter to Norman Lamb MP.
