Overview

This half-day online symposium will bring together cutting-edge research on advanced in vitro and ex vivo infection models with focus on their development, application, and validation. By accurately replicating the host environment, these models are poised to transform key lab discoveries into real-world breakthroughs.

This symposium is associated with the Microbiology journal and is the first in a new series of symposia supported by the journal

Organiser: Dr Sarah Hooper, Microbiology Co-Deputy Editor-in-Chief (Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK)

Microbiology Symposia

The Microbiology Symposia are new half-day long online conferences associated with our founding journal Microbiology. Each symposium is organised by one or more members of the journal’s Editorial Board and aims to provide a focused look at a topic of particular interest to the journal and the broader microbiology community. These events will be held online, ensuring access for everyone unable to travel and to allow for other commitments.
