Registration is now open for the Focused Meeting What’s new in Cryptosporidium? taking place at Swansea University’s Bay Campus on 6–7 July 2020. Abstract submission is open for this meeting until 27 March 2020.

You can view the programme for this event on the event page. Delegates will have the opportunity to hear about advances in the field of Cryptosporidium, share good practice and establish collaborations with others, across science, industry, public and environmental health and clinical and veterinary practice.

Cryptosporidium is the most common parasitic cause of gastroenteritis in the UK and one of the most important contributors to the burden of childhood diarrhoea morbidity and mortality globally. It is an organism of interest to those working in clinical, industrial, veterinary and agricultural settings and recent outbreaks have highlighted the lack of awareness of current guidance around Cryptosporidium.

This Focused Meeting is organised in collaboration with Swansea University Medical School and the England and Wales Cryptosporidium Reference Unit, Public Health Wales Microbiology Swansea.
