Early Career Microbiologists' Forum Summer Conference 2018 in June
09 April 2018

The Early Career Microbiologists’ (ECM) Forum Executive Committee has devised a new conference that will be taking place at the University of Birmingham, 14–15 June 2018.
The Summer Conference, organised by the ECM Committee Division Representatives, will bring together undergraduate, masters, PhD and postdoctoral researchers to progress and increase their skills.
The conference is for undergraduate or masters students considering a research career. It will provide attendees with the opportunity to present their work and introduce delegates to the scientific conference experience. There will be scientific talks by ECM Forum PhD and postdoctoral researcher members, and the keynote speaker, Dr Adam Roberts, will discuss his research and his own journey in the field of microbiology.
There will also be professional development sessions, which have been tailored to the needs of early career researchers. The sessions will explore what it takes to become a successful scientist, and how you can develop your skills to progress your microbiology career.
There will be networking opportunities with fellow early career members from the breadth of the community, and you can join the ECM Forum Committee and Division Representatives for an evening of social activities.
