Opportunity to Represent the Microbiology Society on the Scottish Cross-party Group on Science and Technology

Are you based in Scotland and interested in science policy? Would you like to volunteer your expertise and contribute to decision-making? The Microbiology Society is looking for a member to act as our representative on the Scottish Cross-Party Group (CPG) on Science and Technology.

The purpose of the group is to promote opportunities for Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs) and the scientific community in Scotland to interact on issues of importance to science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine.

Acting as our representative, you will be invited to attend meetings with debates opened by guest speakers who are active in the fields of interest and participate in discussions.

The CPG meets 3-4 times a year, including an AGM in December. Please note that all meetings are held in person in Edinburgh. You can find the details of previous meetings, including minutes, here.
