This meeting was scheduled to take place in April 2020, but the Council of the Microbiology Society have taken the difficult decision to postpone the meeting due to the continued spread of SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19. The Microbiology Society is delighted to be delivering the next meeting on Candida and Candidiasis in which was formally delivered by the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) as part of their highly successful conference series that finished in 2018.
This meeting will take place at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel, Canada and will address all aspects of Candida biology – species that are major causes of infectious disease in AIDS patients, cancer chemotherapy patients, premature infants, and many others and will provide a vital forum for the Candida research community to present the latest advances and ideas about:
This meeting will be driven by the community, with most talks being selected from the submitted abstracts and will help determine the course of future research in this area and empower major ongoing efforts to understand, treat, and prevent Candida infections.

What’s included in your registration fee?
Upon registration you should receive an automated confirmation email. Please contact [email protected] if after 24 hours this has not been received.
All registration fees must be paid in full before arrival at the conference. Any outstanding registration fees must be paid before admittance will be granted to the conference.
If you require a letter of invitation to support a visa application, we will be happy to supply this after we have received full payment. It is the policy of the Microbiology Society not to supply an invitation letter to any delegate that has not registered to attend the meeting and paid the registration fees in full. Requests for invitation letters should be sent to [email protected] after registration has been completed.

Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport is the biggest airport serving the Quebec province with regular flights from a range of domestic and international destinations. The airport is well supported by a range of public transport services, including the Autobus/747 Express service and VIA rail train service.

All delegates are warmly invited to attend a welcome drinks reception on the first evening of the meeting at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel. The drinks reception will offer a chance to catch up with colleagues, make new friends and get aquatinted with fellow delegates at the beginning of the meeting.
Evening poster viewing sessions will take place throughout the week, giving presenters an opportunity to explain their research to fellow delegates in a relaxed setting. A range of alcoholic and soft drinks will be available for delegates to enjoy while being able to closely interact with presenters and ask direct questions about their work.
On the final evening of the meeting all delegates are invited to attend a 3-course meeting dinner in Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel’s Ballroom.
