We are pleased to announce an extension to the abstract submission deadline for Gut Microbiome and Mucosa-Associated Infectious Disease: Mining for Antimicrobials and Postbiotics with Therapeutic Potential. Abstracts for offered oral and poster presentations can now be submitted until Wednesday 31 August, 2022 23:59 BST.

The Focused Meeting will be taking place on 27–28 October 2022 at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and provides insight into the current state of research in the field and offers opportunities for collaboration and to foster new ideas.

The key topics include:

  • Gut Microbiome in health and disease
  • Antimicrobial resistance in bacteria
  • New sources of antimicrobials
  • Bioactives including effector organisms, probiotics and postbiotics

The scientific organising committee welcomes abstract submissions from both members and non-members of the Microbiology Society. All offered oral and poster presentations will be selected from the abstracts submitted.
