Overview

The 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held as an online event on 7 September 2023 at 13:30pm (waiting room open from 13:00). The AGM is an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the work of the Society over the previous year, to understand its financial position and to thank those who stand down from our Council, Committees and Divisions in December. In keeping with our values of being transparent and professional and true to our charitable aims the AGM presents the 2022 Annual Report and gives the membership the opportunity to see how our resources are applied and to ask our Trustees questions about how the organisation is managed. We also celebrate our future and look at how we are already delivering on our 2023-2027 strategy and welcome our incoming members of Council, Committees and Divisions!

We welcome all members who take the time to attend the Society’s AGM. We rely on the involvement and commitment of our members who support our work – through our Council and Committees and in a range of other ways. You may be aware that we are a membership charity and not-for-profit publisher and that we support and invest in the microbiology community for the benefit of everyone. You may like to consider publishing with us or getting involved via a range of opportunities – you can find out more via our website.

All Members are invited to attend and speak at all general meetings of the Society though only Full, Full Concessionary, Post Graduate Student and Honorary Members may vote.
