Overview

The Microbiology Society Education and Outreach Network invites you to join our Winter Meeting half-day session on 7 November 2025, focused on collaboration, connectivity, and the future of microbiology education and scholarship.

This year’s theme explores how opening up scholarship to wider collaborative projects can enhance our collective impact, across institutions, disciplines, and borders. The programme is designed to provide space for discussion, networking, and the sharing of innovative approaches that strengthen interconnectivity in microbiology research, pedagogy, and outreach.

We particularly encourage contributions that showcase:

  • Collaborative or interdisciplinary initiatives in microbiology education and scholarship
  • Outreach projects that connect science to new audiences
  • Pedagogical innovations and practices that others can adopt or adapt
  • Reflections on building sustainable networks of practice nationally and internationally

At the same time, the session is open to all topics, and we welcome submissions from anyone wishing to showcase their work, stimulate conversation, or use the platform to raise awareness of ongoing projects.
