Member of the Royal Society of Biology (MRSB), Microbiology Society, and International Society of Computational Biology. Active science communicator, regular contributor of The Skeptic magazine, occasional contributor of #FEMSmicroBlog. Having my own blog on Springer Nature Research Communities.

    Currently an independent researcher without affiliation. Scientific research is focused on oxylipin signalling in microbes and its role in the evolution of multicellularity and host-microbe interactions. Articles and conference papers on these topics are published on a regular basis. Magazine-format articles and blog posts cover a broad spectrum of topic including biology, medicine, linguistics, and some questions of philosophy. Also a digital artist (as a hobby), experimenting with hybrid technology between photo art and digital art.
