Society Champions
"Champions" are members who do that little bit more for the Society. They help raise our profile in their local area, by initiating activities and events of their own, or participating in Society-led events to achieve the same result.
The idea behind the Champions scheme is simple. We provide our Champions with the opportunities to get engaged, and support them to do so. The events and activities they organise and attend enable them to spread the word about the Society, in an interactive way. The net result will be more people being aware of the Microbiology Society, and ultimately more people wanting to join us.
There are no set requirements to become a Champion, apart from a passion for the subject matter and an enthusiasm to communicate it widely. We currently have Champions across the UK, as well as in Nigeria, Turkey, Nepal, Australia, France, Canada, Brazil, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and India.
