Opportunity to join Ireland’s AMR One Health Thematic Network
20 June 2025
Following our recent engagement with Irish animal health policymakers in the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine on the development of Ireland’s next national action plan to tackle antimicrobial resistance (AMR), the Microbiology Society is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for two researchers to represent the microbiology community on Ireland’s AMR One Health Thematic Network.
This cross-sectoral network, convened by the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine, brings together researchers, funders, health services, policymakers and other stakeholders to discuss current and future research proposals that will shape and implement One Health policies and practices to address AMR.
We are seeking researchers with expertise in human health and AMR who are passionate about bridging the gap between science and policy. This is a unique opportunity to ensure research insights inform national AMR policies and practices.
To apply, please send your CV and a short cover letter outlining your experience and interest in the role to [email protected]. The deadline for applying is 2 July 2025 at 23:59 BST.
