Call for input: Global Action Plan on AMR

12 May 2025

The Microbiology Society is contributing to an online survey launched by Quadripartite Joint Secrerariat on AMR, as part of the formal consultation process for updating the Global Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance (GAP-AMR)

Since its inception in 2015, the current GAP-AMR has played a pivotal role in guiding global efforts to address AMR, with 178 countries developing National Action Plans by 2024. However, significant changes over the past decade in human health, animal health, agrifood and the environmental sector underscore the need for a more inclusive, multisectoral and One Health approach moving forward.

To inform our organisational response, we are collecting input from individuals and members of our community. We invite you to complete the survey, and we will collate your responses to shape a collective submission. Your expertise is vital to ensuring our response reflects today’s challenges, emerging threats and global priorities, as outlined in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Political Declaration on AMR.

To participate, please fill out our survey by 19 May 2025.
