03 June 2020

The Sir Howard Dalton Young Microbiologist of the Year competition will take on a new format and is open for submission to all those who were due to present an oral presentation at the Annual Conference 2020.

The competition, which is closely fought every year, gives early career microbiologists the chance to go head-to-head to be recognised as the best science communicator of the year.

Due to the cancellation of this year’s Annual Conference, finalists will now be shortlisted from eligible entrants who were due to deliver an oral presentation at this year’s Annual Conference. For 2020 only, we will regretfully not be able to consider entrants who were due to deliver a poster presentation.

We’d like to welcome all Annual Conference 2020 oral presenters to take part in the competition by submitting a short video that demonstrates your ability to creatively communicate your research succinctly.

All video submissions received by the 17 June deadline will be reviewed by the competition judges and the selected finalists will be notified accordingly in July.

For further information about the competition please see the Sir Howard Dalton Young Microbiologist of the Year page, and for any queries contact [email protected].
