Register for Annual Conference 2017

23 January 2017

EICC

The Microbiology Society’s Annual Conference starts in just over 70 days and we wanted to remind you why this event is not to be missed! This year, the Conference will be taking place from 3–6 April at the EICC in Edinburgh, UK.

The event has opportunities for microbiologists at all stages of their career, and this year’s conference looks set to break records. In total, we had over 900 poster and offered talk abstracts submitted for the programme and acceptance letters are being issued to those successful.

But other than to present, why come to Annual Conference? Last year, we were told by our delegates that not only did they update their knowledge at our meetings, but we also provided them with:

  • the platform to gain experience of presenting
  • a place to identify funding opportunities
  • the time to meet experts in their field
  • a place that enabled them to develop contacts and research groups, meet with collaborators and develop joint projects

The early bird registration rate for Annual Conference 2017 ends on Friday 3 March, and online registration is open until Thursday 23 March. Full details can be found on the event’s page on our website. Please ensure you secure your hotel soon using our booking service online or by contacting local agents.

This year, conference registration includes:

  • Admission to all scientific sessions
  • Admission to training sessions
  • Admission lunchtime events
  • Full access to the trade exhibition
  • Full access to scientific poster sessions
  • Hot buffet lunch plus tea and coffee breaks every day
  • Two free drinks vouchers during the poster viewing sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening
