It’s a special bumper-edition of the podcast this month, full of interviews I recorded at the Society’s Annual Conference that was held a few weeks ago in Liverpool.
On the podcast we’ve got: Professor W. Ian Lipkin, discussing pandemics and Hollywood movies; Dr Laura Clarke, talking about bacteria that do strange things to nematodes; Professor Marvin Whiteley, explaining how infections can be polymicrobial; Dr Roger Sanders, talking about the chances of developing an HIV vaccine; and Dr Rita Colwell, explaining the challenges facing early-career women scientists.
