Registration is now open for the Society’s flagship Annual Conference 2020, which is taking place in Edinburgh on Monday 30 March to Friday 3 April 2020.

Annual Conference is the UK’s largest annual gathering of microbiologists and is returning to Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) in 2020 when the Society turns 75 years old.

To celebrate this milestone, our flagship Annual Conference will – for one time only – be extended to five days to include a ‘Fleming Showcase’ day at the start of the week.

To ensure the meeting remains of value for its broad microbiology community, ticket prices have not increased from last year beyond the rate of inflation and a 10% discount is available for anyone registering for four days of the meeting. Moreover, early career microbiologists and students can attend the Fleming Showcase day for free when registering for any part of the main Annual Conference.

Edinburgh is Annual Conference's most popular destination city and the Society encourages all delegates to register for both the Fleming Showcase and Annual Conference as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Registration needs to be made separately for each event. Full details, including costs, can be found on the event page.
