Society Showcase and Annual General Meeting 2018

The Society is pleased to announce that the Society Showcase and Annual General Meeting will take place on 6 September 2018, at its headquarters, Charles Darwin House, London.

The annual event is a celebration of the Society’s work, and begins with an exclusive morning for invited members of the Early Career Microbiologists’ (ECM) Forum, Society Champions and poster prize winners. The morning will start with networking games, followed by a session where senior members will share what they wish they had known when they set out on their careers in microbiology.

All members are then invited to attend a celebratory afternoon, consisting of the final of the Sir Howard Dalton Young Microbiologist of the Year Competition, Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the Microbiology Outreach Prize presentation. During the AGM, members are invited to be part of the approval process of Society matters, and to witness incoming and outgoing members of Council and Divisions. The day’s business will conclude with a talk from our 2018 Microbiology Outreach Prize winner.

The afternoon promises to be a great celebration of the work of our early career microbiologists, and all members are invited to attend.
