This afternoon, the winner of the Prize Medal 2020, Professor Martin Blaser (Rutgers University, USA) will present his talk titled ‘Antibiotics at the crossroads’, following an introduction from the President at 17:30 BST.

Social and networking sessions
Today’s social session takes place during the afternoon break of scientific conference sessions. Join us for the ‘Increasing Feelings of Positivity Workshop’ hosted by SMASH London from 15:00–15:30 BST.
In the evening from 19:30–20:30 BST, the Society will be hosting the ‘Phage biology & The secret life of mobile genetic elements networking session’. Join us for the chance to meet other microbiologists working in the field of phage biology and genetics.
