What to look forward to on day two of Annual Conference
The Microbiology Society Peter Wildy Prize Lecture will be held today by prize winner Professor Diane Ashiru-Oredope (UK Health Security Agency, UK) in the Main Auditorium at 09:00.

The Society’s Professional Development team will be hosting the Microbiology careers fair between 10.30 and 13.00. Companies will exhibit their current job and career opportunities and provide insights into career prospects for microbiology students and researchers.
The Hot Topic presentation: Climate change: integrating the influence and trajectories of microbes past, present and future with Alexandra Worden (GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research, Germany; Max Planck for Evolutionary Biology, Germany; Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Studies at Harvard University, USA) will take place in the Main Auditorium at 17:40.
This is followed by the drinks reception and poster presentations in Block A between 18:30 and 20:00. Delegates have the chance to network, socialise with peers and view the posters on display while grabbing a drink using the drinks vouchers included in the name badge.
At 20:00 BST, tonight’s social is our sold-out Microbiology 75th Anniversary drinks reception, which will be taking place at Belfast City Hall, Donegall Square, BT1 5SG.
