Microbial Genomics Deputy Editor-In-Chief, Senior Editors and Editors: call for expressions of interest
We are currently looking to appoint a Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Senior Editors and Editors with a demonstrated excellence in an area of microbial genomics and an active microbial genomics research profile.
The Deputy Editor-in-Chief will be in office for at least three years and will be required to attend an annual Editorial Board meeting, at least two Senior Editor meetings, as well as three Publishing Panel meetings, and Committee meetings where appropriate. When the current Editor-in-Chief retires in March 2025, the expectation is that the Deputy Editor-in-Chief will take on the role of Editor-in-Chief, after ratification by Council.
Senior Editors will have expertise in microbial genomics, particularly in the ’Pathogens and Epidemiology’ or ‘Evolution and Responses to Interventions’ sections. Both the Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Senior Editors should have previous editorial experience.
Editors will have expertise in an area of microbial genomics, including plasmidology. Our Editors play a key role in the journal, ensuring that we publish high-quality research, and are engaged with the microbiological community.
