A new annual infection biology symposium for ECRs to add to the calendar!

The second annual London Infection Postdoc Network (LIPN) symposium, an event organised by Early Career Researchers (ECRs) for ECRs, was held on the 10th June at the Francis Crick Institute. The LIPN Committee, is looking back on their ongoing learning experiences and the lessons learned after two symposiums, ten seminars and more than two years of collaboration.

This year the Microbiology Society is awarding two Early Career Microbiologist of the Year prizes. Both prizes recognise excellence in science communication by a member who is an undergraduate, postgraduate student or within five years of appointment to their first position.
Each of the finalists, who either presented a poster or offered a talk at Annual Conference 2024, were selected to present their research in the poster or speaker final.
