Social events at the Annual Conference 2018

Finalising your plans for the Microbiology Society Annual Conference 2018? There is plenty more to get involved with outside of the main Conference programme.
The pre-Conference workshop will be a great place to kick-start the Conference for those who wish to meet new people or to brush up on their networking skills. Delegates will have an opportunity to take part in interactive games, practice networking with senior members of the Society and improve their presentation skills.
For those who wish to test their general knowledge and network with other delegates in a fun and relaxing environment, we will be hosting the Society quiz and games night. The event will take place on Tuesday 10 April at Shooters – a venue less than a 10-minute walk from the International Conference Centre (ICC) Birmingham.
If you are interested in experiencing a real German bierfest of music and food, join us on Thursday 12 April for the Conference party. The amazing Bavarian Stompers will put on an action-packed show with lots of comedy and audience participation. Tickets for the workshop and social events can be booked online when registering for the Conference.
Additionally, each evening at Conference we will be extending time to network with the Conference speakers, session organisers and delegates at our drinks reception. These events are free of charge and you will find two drinks vouchers inside your delegate badge.
